New Medal of Honor going modern day

MoH

Not much has been heard about the new MoH game, and not much has been heard of the ‘new game’ that DICE were working on for an Autumn 2010 release. The fact of the matter is that DICE are doing it.

The single player campaign is being done by EA Los Angeles, and will place you amongst a group of ‘tier 1 operative’ (that’s veteran US spec ops units) in modern day Afghanistan. Meanwhile DICE are solely responsible for making the MP component – and we all know they can do that well.

The new game will just be called ‘Medal of Honor’. An in game footage promo video is posted on the forums here

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 PC beta starts early 2010

BFBC2 logo

This really sounds like its shaping up to be the one to watch - not least because its not some crappy console port. Hopefully we'll all get on the beta and see if it lives up to its high expectations. Some tasty details below;

  • Up to 32 Players on PC (24 on consoles) – Play with up to 32 players online in the biggest multiplayer Maps in Battlefield. Each with a different tactical and gameplay focus set across a variety of environments.
  • Full DirectX 9, 10 & 11 Support – Immerse yourself in the Battlefield world as Frostbite engine brings tanks, helicopters and explosions to vivid life on your PC. The game will fully support Windows XP, Vista and 7 with new tech that further improves things like lighting and shadows.
